Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
When you submit a publication signup or a contact message on echo-button.com, the information you enter is sent to our backend and stored in a database. This policy explains what is stored and how it is used.
Publication notification signup
We store your email address and the date and time of your signup in our database. We use your address to send one email when the EchoButton paper is released. Signing up does not send an immediate confirmation email or subscribe you to a recurring newsletter.
Contact messages
We store your email address, message, and any name or topic you provide.
Your contact information and message are also sent by email to the EchoButton research team. Your email address is included so we can reply.
Sending a contact message does not add you to the publication notification list.
Storage and access
Submitted information is stored on the server running this website. Contact emails may also be stored in the research team’s mailbox and processed by the email provider. Website hosting and email providers may process information needed to operate these services, including technical logs.
The form database has no public access endpoint. The research team and people administering the website or mail service may access information to operate the site, handle messages, and maintain backups. We do not sell submitted information or use it for advertising.
Questions, corrections, or removal
Use the contact form to ask about this policy, request access to or correction of your submitted information, or ask for your information to be removed. To withdraw a publication signup, include the email address you used and say that you want to leave the notification list. We may need to confirm that an address belongs to you before acting on a request.
Before you submit
The forms send their contents to our backend when you submit them. Typing alone does not save a draft in our database. Please include only the information needed for your enquiry.
Updates to this policy
If our data-handling practices change, we will update this page and its last-updated date.
